## What this site is
World Tension Meter (WTM) publishes the World Tension Index (conflict 25%, energy 20%, trade 20%, finance 20%, media 15% plus a capped shock overlay and fear physics), eight further indexes (Food Security, Currency Stress, Shipping Stress, Sanctions Pressure, Energy Security, Gold & Silver Fear, Crypto Fear & Greed, AI Risk) and three derived indexes (Inflation Pressure, Supply Chain Risk, Market Fear). Market data updates every 10 minutes; a full analysis of 40+ free public news feeds, public attention data and public social signals runs at 00:10 and 12:10 UTC. Every day is appended to a permanent ledger; every month, every index gets a locked plain-English story. Engine v4.4.2. No third-party provider is load-bearing; language models only classify headlines and write summaries from computed facts, never numbers.
